I never know whether to say photography is my ‘real’ job or my ‘day’ job. Whatever….It’s what I am actually trained in. I spent my teenage years working in camera stores and film labs, then went on to get a certificate in professional photography from the New York Institute of Photography. Fast forward many years and digital cameras came on the market. I bought one way back when there was only one brand of consumer digital cameras on the market – a Kodak. For me it was a game changer, allowing me to recreate many of the same types of images from the Pictorialist movement. And those early experiments earned me recognition and sparked my photography career.
